There is a magical change in the taste and character of Darjeeling Tea as the seasons change during the year . First Flush or Spring Tea is produced during mid-March through May and has a pleasant brisk flavour. Second Flush (post spring and pre summer) tea is produced during mid-May through June and has the best flavour. The famous Muscatel flavour is pronounced in this period. Autumnal or Winter Tea is produced during mid-September through October and has a distinctive mellow flavour.
